Spice up this summer with a delicious turkey chili recipe perfect for an afternoon cookout.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1 pound ground turkey
1 (mid size) onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups of law sodium chicken broth or water
1 (28 ounce) can canned crushed tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) can of kidney beans
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt and pepper to season
Directions:
1 cup of sautéed onion with 2 tablespoon of minced garlic,
add 1 lb. of ground turkey and cook until evenly brown.
Add 28 oz of crushed tomatos, 16 oz of kidney beans, and 1,5-2 cups of chicken broth or water
Season with chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, sugar, add salt and black pepper.
Bring to boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
You can eat the chili plain or garnish with sour cream, yogurt, and drizzle with scallions.
Best if served with a side of green beans
